Even if you hate Apple, you have to admit Apple has made its reputation from being cool. People perceive the Apple brand as a cool brand allowing all of their products owners to feel cool. They have built a reputation that is admired by all its competitors as well as business in other sectors. I personally don’t like Apple just because I find they are overpriced for the limited features their products contain. I prefer to use Ubuntu Linux but more often than not I use Microsoft Windows just because they have more applications. But as a business owner and… Continue Reading

While going to the movie theater, I noticed something: a lot of people with families are still going out to see a movie rather than staying in. This kind of shocked me because I keep hearing about how Red Box and Netflix coupled with better home theaters have allowed more people to enjoy a movie at home. I also keep hearing about how piracy allows some people to watch movies for free which is killing the industry all together because at least with movie rentals, the movie studios make some money. Still people go to the movie theater. I myself… Continue Reading

Google is a company that is believed to control the Internet. They have built datacenters that allow it to control the largest search engine and have plenty of web applications that allow people to send email, blog, write documents, and talk on the phone to mention a few. Google also controls the largest video sharing site with YouTube. The engineers at Google have also been smart in trying to buy up bandwidth space so as to cut some costs and now have a web browser that hopefully allow a faster web experience. But the Internet has gotten more social. People… Continue Reading

Americans have known for some time now that we are starting to lose our edge. Other countries have started to excel in science and mathematics which is jump starting their economies. America has decided to import talent from other countries so that we can kind of keep up but since our economy no longer grows as fast as other countries such as China and India, some of these scientists are choosing to either get educated here and then leave or just educated elsewhere and live elsewhere. America still does very well in the Olympic Games but still there are other… Continue Reading

We are all curious about what is going on the world. The newspaper started this desire because of its ability to gather news and publish daily. In fact the newspaper became so popular that it began to publish multiple editions. Now we have too much information thanks to 24 hours television news stations and internet news sources that can attract a much younger demographic that has caused the newspaper to start losing readership. Small towns used to be able to have their own newspapers that would atleast be able to publish weekly but many of these papers have gone out… Continue Reading

Apple’s iPod was a device that threw the entire market into disarray. It had a simple design, easy to use, and in the beginning was only good for listening to music. It solved one of the crucial problems among music enthusiasts; they had a ton of music on their hard drives or on cds but had no way of carry all of it with them. So Apple made sure to include a large hard drive in each device. The device became such a huge hit that the iPod transformed into something that was more of a PDA. When the iPod… Continue Reading

We all have periods of idiocy but some of us are idiots all the time. I classify these people as Ralphuses. Ralph Wiggum is a resident of Springfield, USA and can be seen on the show The Simpsons. He tends to do things that would make some people classify him as stupid. I give him a new category: Ralphus. He does things that make us all cringe and laugh at him such as eating his own diorama that is made out of sugar cubes. Ralph is the type of person that receives a valentine and believes that the giver is now… Continue Reading

We all lead our own lives, or do we? What defines our lives are the choices we make, or the lack thereof. Who we are is defined by our specific life experiences and those can only happen if we so chose that path. In the end the only people who we can blame for our lives, our current state of affairs is due to our previous choices culminating into our present world. However, there are qualifiers. We live in the United States of America, as many problems as this country has, it is still a beautiful and strong country that… Continue Reading

While Microsoft commands nearly the entire operating system market, Apple has been able to carve out a small a decent part of the market. Some of the people that use Apple say it is because of ease of use, others it is because it is not owned by Microsoft, and still others choose it because they believe that it is very secure. The importance of security has never been more important ever since the Internet has become the main focus of the computer experience. The Internet can allow someone to access an untold amount of knowledge but it can also allow… Continue Reading

We all hate lines. If something can be more convenient elsewhere, we are drawn to that option most of the time. Walgreens and CVS have built their entire business trying to make our lives easier. They have tried to build more locations and have long hours so as to serve more people. They have even expanded their drug store roots to also stock groceries to allow them to also act as a type of mini-mart. Their latest bid is to create small walk in clinics that easily accessible to everyone. My question is this: Why the hell did we not think… Continue Reading
