Confidence is one of the most essential things in the world to have if you want to succeed in anything that you do. Lawyers, doctors, even physicists have to be cocky bastards if they want to move ahead in their given field. Some good, albeit fictional, examples would be the lovable Sheldon of THE BIG BANG THEORY, Dr. Gregory House of HOUSE, and Dr. Perry Cox of SCRUBS. They all have confidence in their abilities and know that they will be able to solve any problem that may come their way. Sheldon always puts down his 3 friends… Continue Reading

If you are to ask someone why they want to get married it is because they want to spend the rest of their lives with someone in the hopes of being happier than if they spent the rest of their life alone. When you ask someone why they are gay, they may not be able to answer that question with such ease. You could also make the argument that asking that question is like asking a straight person why they are straight. A similar answer, if there is one, could be used for both questions. Now the one question that… Continue Reading

Valentine’s day just past not too long ago. Does that really represent love in any way shape or form? How is giving a card, candy, stuffed animal and/or some cheesy trinket to your significant other suppose to represent your love for them? How can human emotion be contained in such a cheap physical form?
Love is relative. It means differently to each and every individual. It feels different too. Some people feel that love is a great emotion while others believe that it is just one huge sacrifice that is endless but does not matter since they care about the… Continue Reading

DragonBall Z was one of the greatest shows back in the day. Very few people can forget the names Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, and Frieza. These are just a few of the best characters the show had to offer. The Saiyan race was by far one of the coolest things about the show. With all the characters the show had to offer, the coolest would have to have been the greatest Saiyans, Goku and Vegeta. (Granted Broly was stronger than them at some point, I think he’s just an overhyped brute.)
Goku, son of Bardock and who’s birth name… Continue Reading

Twilight scares me….no really, I am twenty five years old and scared of Edward Cullen. Why you might, ask am I afraid? I am afraid that after getting sucked into the fad that was/is Twilight, that I will unconsciously seek out and end up with some douche like Edward.
Now, fear not my young readers who may feel that I have just blasphemized against the almighty eighty-year-old sex idol, I (sadly) love Edward. In fact, I own all of the Twilight books, I read them all in about 3 days, once I finished the first one, I drove directly to… Continue Reading

Apu Nahasapeemapetilon runs a Kwik E Mart where he has to deal with all sorts of people including children looking for a sugar rush, adults picking up a pack of beer, and robbers who just want to clear out the cash register. Moe Szyslak is the bartender at Moe’s Tavern and typically deals with adults who just want to escape from their families, prank phone calls, and the occasional illegal fight club. Both are citizens of Springfield and characters in the television series The Simpsons. Both typically work alone all day but have drastically different personalities. Moe is lonely, depressed,… Continue Reading

Everyone knows that Seth Macfarlene loves to push the envelope with his hit shows, Family Guy and American Dad. Two shows that I really like to watch and generally give me a good laugh. The shows address many issues that are present in the country. One of the most prominent issues that I see that he addresses is the fact that many men in today’s society are becoming more and more metro sexual. His favorite way to make fun of the numerous metro sexual men is by using the always lovable Stewie. Everyone has been wondering if Stewie is gay,… Continue Reading

“…. You can do anything you put your mind to.” “If you want it bad enough, that is all that matters”. It is statements like these that parents are told to tell their children, and statements like these that parents need to stop saying to their children.
During the 1960’s and 1970’s, a movement in parenting happened. All of a sudden the idea of promoting self-esteem to your child became “the thing”, and it has been with us ever since. The problem is however, we now are seeing generations of kids who are stubborn and want to think that they… Continue Reading

What if Batman had to fight Superman? First you have to look at where each hero came from. Superman was raised as Clark Kent in Smallville but on Krypton, his home planet, he was given the name Kal El. He was sent to earth because Krypton was destroyed. Under Earth’s yellow sun, Superman has numerous powers including: super speed, super strength, flight, x ray vision, etc. He also has a Fortress of Solitude which houses many Kryptonian technologies as well as other alien artifacts that are typically far more advanced than what can be found on earth.
Batman was born… Continue Reading

What is one of the most recognizable things for the average superhero? THE CAPE. Most any superhero you see has a cape that billows in the wind while he or she is fighting or while they are just standing around. The coolest superhero by far is Batman and one of the most effective weapons he has is his cape. Anyone who sees a little piece of the cape that disappears is afraid and BAM! They are down and out. The cape is an important tool in the arsenal of the Dark Knight. Personally, the cape is awesome. It’s something that… Continue Reading
